Ambient temporary canteen for imec in Leuven
In Leuven, we realised an atmospheric and cost-efficient temporary canteen for imec. This project highlighted the importance of a quick and flexible solution without compromising on aesthetics and comfort.
- Spacious and sturdy: 20×30 metres, side height 3.5 metres.
- Unique: Sand-coloured and transparent tarpaulins, glass walls, black panels.
- Additional options: Heavy-duty floor made of spruce planks.

What was the challenge? 💪
imec urgently needed an alternative to their current tent that functioned as a canteen. They wanted to purchase a more atmospheric and sustainable solution, instead of always renting a tent. The new canteen had to be both attractive and functional and realised within a short time frame.
Which solution did we come up with? 💡
We delivered a TT225 arched hall with a width of 20 metres, a length of 30 metres and a side height of 3.5 metres. This hall was equipped with a heavy-duty floor of spruce boards, and the alu hall itself consisted of sand-coloured and transparent roof and gable curtains. Double glass doors, glass walls and black wall panels were also integrated for a sleek and attractive appearance. By presenting renders in advance, imec was able to get an immediate visual impression of the final result.
